Timofei Bordachev

Timofei Bordachev is the Program Director of the Valdai Discussion Club since 2015 (Asia and Eurasia) as well as Academic Supervisor of the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE). 
 
He studied History at the Saint-Petersburg State University (1995) and European Politics and Administration at the College of Europe in Bruges (1997). His research and teaching priorities are the history of Russian foreign policy (14^th and 16^th centuries), the theory of International Relations, European integration, and the relations between Russia and the European Union.
 
Dr. Bordachev is the author of several books including the most recent Europe, Russia and the Liberal World Order: International Relations after the Cold War ( 2022).
