Mariana Losada

Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore

Mariana Losada has been Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS) since 2016. She acts as a representative of Université de Paris, Sciences Po, and Inalco in Southeast Asia. In her role, Mariana facilitates and manages the research and teaching collaborations between these French higher education institutions, and NUS. She is also in charge of representing them in Southeast Asia, identifying opportunities to develop new partnerships and collaborations with other organizations in the region. 

Mariana holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Sciences Po, where she specialized in the internationalization of Higher Education and Research. During her doctoral studies, she was Visiting Fellow at the University of Oxford and the University of Chicago. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she has been studying and working abroad for half of her life. Over her career, she has held different roles in the field of Higher Education in institutions such as the Fulbright Commission in Argentina, UNESCO, UNICEF, Amue (a French public university consortium), AEF (a press agency specialized in Higher Education), and Sciences Po, where she was in charge of all the partnerships with Southeast Asia. Her experience in the public and private sector has spanned across areas such as internationalization strategies of universities, how technology changes education, and strengthening synergies between universities and business.
