Cities in a Post-Covid World: The Future of Office Real Estate

As the COVID-19 pandemic drives profound societal and organizational shifts, what will be its long-lasting impact on cities? While some companies are making home office permanent, others are closing their offices in city centers. What implications can we anticipate for real estate and investment strategies? Will cities become more affordable in terms of retail, commercial space, and housing? How will it impact urban geographies more broadly, and transportation?

To answer these questions, Richard Florida, Professor at University of Toronto’s School of Cities and Rotman School of Management, Distinguished Fellow at NYU and FIU, and Co-Founder and Senior Editor of The Atlantic City Lab, and Carlo Ratti, Professor of Urban Technologies and Planning and Director of the Senseable City Lab at MIT, will join Cécile Maisonneuve, Institut Montaigne’s Senior Fellow and Director of La Fabrique de la Cité, for a discussion on the future of office real estate in cities.
