He holds a PhD from Paris University in clinical epidemiology. He has authored more than a hundred scientific articles, the half of which in international journals. In 2021 he published a book on the history of health improvement over the last 270 years (La Grande Extension, éditions Denoël). He also writes for several media, among which Le Monde or Les Echos.
