Paulo Tovar

Coordinator of Participation and Dialogue at FIP

Paulo Tovar Coordinator of Participation and Dialogue at Fundación Ideas para la Paz (FIP), an independent think-tank in Colombia. 

Tovar is a sociologist from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He holds a Master's degree in Public Management and Governance from the London School of Economics (LSE). Among other positions, he worked as assistant professor at the Department of Business Administration of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. He also worked as an analyst at the Special Projects Group of the National Planning Department and at the High Counselor's Office for Reintegration (today Colombian Agency for Reintegration). 

Tovar has mainly been involved in the design and implementation of public policies and social projects aimed at institutional strengthening in the context of the Colombian armed conflict. He has been dedicated to monitoring and supporting citizen participation processes in the framework of peace building in Colombia.
