Pascal Airault is a journalist and columnist for the French newspaper L’Opinion, for which he writes on Africa and the Middle East. His work has covered countries of Central Africa (such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea), West Africa (most specially the crisis in the Ivory Coast), as well as the region of the Indian Ocean and the Maghreb. Previously, he worked for Jeune Afrique and two monthly magazines, Afrique Agriculture and Agriéconomics. Pascal Airault published Françafrique. Opérations secrètes et affaires d’État (Françafrique - Secret Operations and Matters of State) in 2016 alongside Jean-Pierre Bat (Tallandier).
