Halyna Chyzhyk

Advocacy officer and judiciary reform expert

Halyna Chyzhyk is an advocacy officer and judiciary reform expert at the Ukrainian NGO Anticorruption Action Center. From 2019 to 2021, Halyna successfully led an advocacy campaign aimed at adopting the legislation on the renewal of judicial governance bodies in Ukraine and introducing integrity checks for the membership of judicial councils. 

Previously, she worked as a legal expert at the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) and the Centre for Democracy and Rule of Law NGO. 

From 2016 to 2020, Halyna was a member and coordinator of the Public Integrity Council (PIC). From 2018 to 2019, Halyna was a TV presenter of a show about the Ukrainian judiciary that was produced by 24 Channel. 

Ms Chyzhyk studied at Yaroslav the Wise National Law University and graduated with honours in 2014, earning an MA in Law. 

In 2020, Halyna Chyzhyk won the Top 30 Under 30 award from Kyiv Post. In 2021 and 2021 she was included in the list of 100 influential Ukrainian women by Focus magazine.
