Gérard Prunier

Historian, Horn of Africa Specialist

Gérard Prunier is a historian of our time and an independent consultant. He studied both in France (Sciences Po) and in the US (Harvard).

As he was forced to flee the country in 1972, he lived in different African countries before joining the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) in 1984.

He is the author of about a dozen books.
