Frannie Léautier

Chief Operating Officer at TDB Group

Former vice-president of the World Bank, from 2001 to 2007, Frannie Léautier, was also Chief of Staff for the World Bank President, also held the number two position at the African Development Bank (AfDB). She co-founded and managed from 2014 to 2016 Mkoba Private Equity Fund, a private equity fund designed to help SMEs develop in sub-Saharan Africa. She was previously Executive Secretary of the Think Tank and Foundation, the African Capacity Building Foundation from 2009 to 2013. She has been teaching at Sciences Po Paris since 2009, first a Master’s degree course for five years, and currently a leadership module under Sciences Po’s executive education. Frannie Léautier began her career in 1994 at the World Bank, where she worked for 15 years in various positions before being appointed Vice President and head of the institution, the World Bank Institute, in 2001. She is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology-MIT, where she obtained a Masters and PhD in Civil Engineering.
