Dr Shivani Ranchod

Dr Shivani Ranchod is the Lead Researcher for the National Health Insurance research programme of the Inclusive Society Institute. She is a healthcare actuary and academic with close on 20 years of experience across the health sector. She is a part-time academic at the University of Cape Town, where she was previously the head of Actuarial Science. She is also appointed as a long-term advisor to the Government Technical Advisory Centre (GTAC), a component of National Treasury. Dr Ranchod is a founder member and CEO of Percept, a South African multi-disciplinary consultancy to clients who are working towards a healthier, more financially resilient world.
