Dana Landau

Senior Researcher at swisspeace

Dr. Dana Landau is a senior researcher at the Swiss peace research institute swisspeace, and lecturer in political science at the University of Basel.

She studied at King’s College London and the University of Oxford, from where she holds a Dphil (PhD) in Politics.

She conducted post-doctoral research at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, and previously worked in Kosovo for the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

She has also consulted and worked for various NGOs in Kosovo, Switzerland, and the UK in the field of human rights. Her research focuses on mediation, peace processes, and statebuilding, and her regional interests lie in the Balkans, especially Kosovo, as well as the Middle East and Israel/Palestine in particular.

Her research has been published in academic journals including Security Dialogue, Nationalities Papers, and the Journal of Intervention and Statebuilding. She has also written for think tanks and media outlets.
