Clemens Fuest

Clemens Fuest is the president of the Institute for Economic Research (ifo) in Munich. Between 2013 and 2016, Fuest was president of the Center for European Economic Research in Mannheim. He has been director of the Center for Economic Studies since 2016, a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, the editorial board of Fiscal Studies, and associate editor of Finanzarchiv/Public Finance Analysis. His research focuses on the implications of globalization and European integration for tax policy, the impact of taxes on business behavior, and the debt crisis in the eurozone.
