Full Professor of Medicine and Human Sciences

Dr. Tognotti’s main line of research concerns the history of medicine and health and the study of the social impact and institutional responses to epidemic emergencies between past and present. She focuses in particular on the 19th century, the post-war period and the contemporary age, in order to examine the individual and collective attitudes in the face of health crises such as the cholera or the Spanish flu.
