A graduate of the Institut d'Études Politiques d'Aix-en-Provence (2005-2010), Jonathan Guiffard is an expert in international relations and strategic issues.

Since September 2022, he is Senior Fellow at Institut Montaigne, focusing on international, strategic and defense affairs.

Jonathan worked for 12 years in government ministries (Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs, Armed Forces...) in crisis zones and has developed an in-depth knowledge of diplomatic issues, asymmetric armed conflicts and hybrid strategies implemented by States and their adversaries.

He is particularly specialized in the Sahel and West Africa, the Syrian crisis and the Middle East, as well as Turkey, areas and countries to which he has traveled on numerous occasions.

Since September 2022, Jonathan has begun academic work at the French Institute of Geopolitics (University of Paris 8) in the Cyber domain. His research focuses on American strategies to ensure supremacy in the data field. A deepening in economics at Paris Saclay, from 2019 to 2022, allowed Jonathan Guiffard to complete his expertise on international macroeconomic issues.
